Most of the time I use a 24" ReptiSun strip light in conjunction with a 100 watt light bulb in a 8.5" dome fixture, I prop the lights about 20" above where I'm taking the picture, but the last picture was taken outside in natural sunlight.. Another note I forgot to add when using the macro setting is to get the camera as close as possible, don't use the zoom feature, the picture becomes more distorted when using the Zoom feature.. Most of my pics are snapped within inches of the snake...
