W. Hognose Behavior Question

I have a male and female Western Hognose that behave completely differentally. My Male is out and about roaming his tank about 80% of the day. My Female hog is "Always" underneath the aspen bedding. The only time I see her is if I dig to find her. She is never roaming about.



Is this weird behavior on either the male or females behalf, or are all snakes just different this way?
