I have a hypo female and an albino male I was planning on pairing up this season after I started cooling, ect, ect. The weather here (central nebraska) has been hot in the day 85 - 90++ and at night dips around the 70 deg. mark. I have had the windows to the snake room open and have not adjusted the thermostates or heating elements on the racks/cages to start cooling yet. However, this hypo female who is normally a big feeder has refused food for the last three weeks, shes perfectly healthy and other than refusing food, which is VERY unusual for her, everything is normal. I noticed the albino male has slowed down on feeding as well, out of my 18 animals these are the only 2 to do so so I figured what the hell, I put them together for a few weeks.

I put them together and checked on them an hour later and this is what I found. Not a great pic but I dont want to disturb them. I havent started cooling or anything. Maybe the windows open and the cool nighttime air coming in at night, even when the thermostates have the heating elements going strong, was enough to initiate it?? Not really sure, but obviously I really dont care! LOL ... I guess when their ready, their ready!
