Please scroll down to my posts on the Aug 28 thread. The distention of its throat may indicate an exagerrated breathing effort. If you find a good herp-knowledgeable vet, good, because you will need injectable antibiotics (see that thread for dosages). Be prepared for "sticker shock" wheb you get your bill, however. "But it's just a little turtle!" won't cut it. The vet has to diagnose it, treat it and make his office expenses. Good luck!
