I've seen those before and they can be nice display cages. I know several people have used them well and have very happy, healthy boas.

I would probably focus on the heating of the cage, and securing a range of temps in the cage for your boa.

I would probably focus on humidity too, and would maybe even varnish and silicone seal the inside of the wood cage (If in fact I do remember correctly it being Wood, and if it is not treated already) for further protection against mites and wear and tear, as well as water proofing.



Other than that, I know alot of first time boa owners, especially if they are male, tend to look for a male boa as their first pet.

At the end of the day, it would be very difficult to sell a male, if you were to ever need to get rid of it, for whatever reason.

Adult females are always in demand.
