I purchased a male veiled chameleon almost three months ago and he has been doing great in the spacious cage I built. Recently, I was hand feeding him and forgot to close the cage door. I left for work and when I returned 11 hrs later, I found him perched on the back of my couch that sits in front of my sliding glass doors. Its only about six feet away but should I be concerned? I mean, would he just be moving toward the bright light source given the chance or are the bulbs Im using not enough?
P.S. In the picture he is upset because I woke him, which is hard to do.
