The smaller snakes in this Genus have powerful venom that reaks havoc in the area surrounding the bite. Loss of digits or even a limb is possible. Snake venom even within a species vary from region to region depending on the prevelent prey items and other environmental factors. Arborials strike very far compared to terrestrial snakes, it's very easy to misjudge and end up bitten. [ Hide Replies ]
