RE: Eggs on leaf question/Update

I have actually cut off the leaf before and placed it in a petri dish inside my humid egg boxes (plastic shoeboxes with paper towels). I have enough plants that this doesn't bother me. I would be worried about damaging the egg by scraping it off.
