I would also be worried about scraping it off; complicating matters, it has slided slightly to the base of the leaf. I fear I may need to remove the leaf...would this sacrifice my Brom.? It is a very hardy plant and the leaf is at the very bottom; I am aware of how to prune or extract leaves and think it should do fine (possible infection and such is my concern). I thought to add a place for the male to transport the tadpole (upon hatching) to more water, but I am aware that they "pre-select" the spots for the tadpoles and it may as well just be in the pockets of water the bromeliad holds. Thanks for all the advice; anyone who has any more advice I'd be more than happy to get more opinions and answers.
