This individual is very hardy but one of the more aggressive Garters I have seen. I have a Florida Blue female that is vicious as snakes go. I nicknamed her "Vampira" because she is always good for a serious blood-letting if you attempt to handle her. This Texas Garter is a close second. I have a lot of snakes, especially Garters, and do not get to spend enough time handling and taming them. I will eventually be looking for new homes for the 1.1 Florida Blues as well as my 4 Flames, a Plains Garter, and maybe a few others. I would post a pick of Vampira (she is beautiful) but the only one I have shows her digging into my hand. [ Hide Replies ]
