i have had a bunch myself, but they are still rare since you cant just walk into a pet shop and find them usually, or even get them special ordered for you. impossible to find and rare are very different. if they are rare than they are hard to find but some people have them. to those people they are not rare because they see them everyday. impossible to find is what it sounds liek you are defining as rare. most people dont even know what an axolotl is, that is pretty rare in my book.
