I use a light fixture I purchased from Home Hardware. It is a 48" Two bulb Ballast designed to fit t12 bulbs (the thicker sized bulbs only) It plugs into a wall outlight, and it needs two bulbs in it to turn on.



I also use a corded ballast where just two ends of the cord, connect to the ends of the bulb. Both of those cords attach to the ballast (electricity converter) and then blug back into the wall outlit.



The photo below is of the hanging ballasts.



In the next two photos you can see the ballast, but it is not turned on. You can see the other bulb, that is haging from the cords though.
