` He is from NERD, New England Reptile Dist. www.newenglandreptile.com/. I would buy from them again, without hesitation. I wish they had dwarf Retics!

` I got him from them almost six years ago, along with several others, as newborn babies. They were still dragging their yolk sacs when they arrived.

` I had kept other Boids, but not Anacondas. I bought them out of a shipment to an exotic pet store where I worked because they were unbelievably calm and gentle as newborns. As they have matured, they have gotten even calmer and more gentle. That picture you used is two years old. Now, he is almost 8 feet, 30 pounds. The largest female is just about 3 feet longer, but nearly 50 pounds.

` Some of them have stayed yellow, and some have gotten more green, as they have aged.

` You should contact NERD, and ask if they are still breeding from that line of six years ago. If so, those are the ones to get. I just had a clutch of 22 stillborn, because of a heating problem. Next year, I may have another, if I feel the female has recovered enough by breeding time.

` These snakes started out calm and tame, however; they have never had live food, except for fish as babies. They are handled almost every day, and spend much time out of their cages. They are in contact with, and handled by strangers, regularly. I have tried to reinforce their good traits by repetition. It has worked well.

` Maybe too well.

Ain't they cute? That's Big Momma, and Himself.
