I use two for my ten gallon planted fish tank and one for my orchids. They're not full spectrum, but plants use mostly the blue/green side of the spectrum, which is what these bulbs produce. Remember also that if you're using UV bulbs, most of the rays are filtered through glass and plastic, making the extra money you spend pretty much null and void.
