you're right, chris: it's one of two holdbacks from last year that will be test-bred to determine their full genotype. they have 50% chance of being het/hypo and 25% chance of being homozygous hypo. I've seen the same "pale" look in some of this year's babies--in tricolors, as well as tangerines, since the hybino morph can occur in either phase.
