In most instances no more than ¼ mile dia from the location it was removed. Is that a good figure to go by? How would one determine a particular individual’s home range? I Have heard in the past that one individual may have a home range consisting of only a few hundred yards while another of the same species will have a range of several miles so It would seem using the ¼ mile dia theory would not be the best idea.
