As far as I know there are no books specially about breeding dragons. The brearded dragon Manual is pretty good with the basics. Females will need to be at least 350g and 18 months old or older before breeding her. The male can be younger as long as he is the same size as the female. Hovabater incubators are recommended the most, or a home made incubator. Vermiculate mixed with clean untreated soil (ie no chemical fertilizars or insecticides added) with water added so it packs down firmly but doesn't leak water is good for an egg laying container, about 8" deep. Vermiculate mixed with water by weight (ie 100g of vermiculate mixed with 100g of water) can be used to incubate the eggs in. Unfortunately I can't remember the exact temp range or humidity range for incubating offhand. [ Hide Replies ]
