It was my experience when i had Jacksons that the females seemed to mature faster than the males. I had one give birht to 25 babies at 8 months of age. I would keep and eye on her. Right before she's due, she will stop eating altogether and start hanging out at the bottom. Keep in mind also, that Jacksons dont like really hot temps but they do need a lot of moisture...be sure you keep her well hydrated.



There is nothing better than walking up to her cage and seeing a bunch of mini jacksons all over the cage. Very cool indeed. Good luck. Just to be safe, you may want to get you some fruit flies ready just in case. In a pinch, Petco has some. I used to get all mine from reptilefood.com but I always seemed to be caught not ready and had to run to petco for a couple of portions to tide me over.
