I keep going back and forth with these two. I do realize the care is different. Here is my problem I think the Dumerils would be more enjoyable to watch and I am leaning toward the Dumerils. I am just worried that if I go Dumerils then I may be disappointed in the size. I know most Bosc are around 3ft but it is a well built three foot. Most Dumerils I have seen look long and skinny. I have never seen an adult Dumerils in person. I have no frame of refernce for the dumerils. I have seen some photos in the gallery but i still can't tell size. I even looked at a photo of one on Varanus.net. He looked very large but is this rare or the norm?
does anyone have a photo of an adult dumerils being held by a person sitting by a person or near a person for size comparison. What would be really great would be to see an Adult Dumerils and an adult Sav"bosc" with the same size reference be it a dollar or a coke can just something.
last thing those of you of have cared for both or just one , which do you feel is the more intelligent?
i have seen plenty of argus and flavi,are Dumerils comparable in size or is it not close?
Last thing do any of you know whhere I could get a Captive bred Dumerils.
