There are several small milksnakes, but most of those don't do very well in captivity.
Scarlet Kingsnakes don't normally exceed 2 feet, but they aren't the best captives. They are high strung escape artists and some are hard to get on pinkies.
Louisiana Milks are the next smallest. They will generally eat rodents (fuzzies or hoppers) as adults, but the babies are kind of a pain.
The best small milk would probably be a Mexican Milksnake. Most stay under 3 feet but the babies are usually easy to start on pinkie mice.
Actually, most Pueblans don't get very big either, but they are usually psychotic! ----- Chris Harrison
