It seems that you can't find vermiculite in the stores anymore, don't it?? At least, that's the case for me in NJ.

Anyways, I just soak the perlite in water until its wet to the touch. Then I drain the water and put the perlite in the incubator box. Perlite seems to work real well, but I can it can dry out plants' roots, so I do soak them and spray it there after once every 10 days. Hope this helps.
