....so we've spent a fresh cool night camped out after a perfect evening w/ overcast to keep things warm...& still managed to get skunked...not even a DoR to ponder...the owls hooted incessantly all night long...the cluds departed after midnight & the sky was filled w/ diamonds, no mosquitos dared ruin the ambiance...dawn was fresh....surely there wouldnt be any torpid layovers...would there...

...to be continued...

...so now Im thinking...is this a lousy trick...an illusion, the ole piece of a vehicle trim...??

..I just hafta have a better look...

...it really does look kinda snakelike...what are all those rings.....mebbe its a pyro??? Please dont let it be a common blackneck garter...last time the Latman & I slipped into the morning sunlight on this rd...down close to the frontera...the only long gleaming colubrid we found turned out to be a thin Pituophis...surely its not time already to do that again...surely Iitoi is ready to bestow his grace on us...

...hotdiggity..its not a garter, gopher... nor a pyro....mebbe its a magnum regalis...

....what a gr8t AM...Im all of a sudden feeling life makes sense again...everything is as it should be...the mountain cares...

....truly a beauty & I feel substantial remorse in seperating it from the scene...I know there are many others remaining....
I lift it high & salute Iitoi & the other mountain dieties for allowing me to see...to participate...

Saludos / y vivir con gusto... RxR
