...thnx everyone for the kudoes n teasing....

Dan... yes Id like to give ya the credito but my 1st use of this technique was nearly 20 years ago (i know my photo doesnt show it...) on top of harquahala mtn at sunup...a bright mirror shine in the 2track screaming boa (when boas in az were a major event)....but it turned out to be a freeking pituophis I still have those slides tho!!!
Youre right, Ida had a major issue if the snake had bolted & I am a slow learner in that I damnear lost my 1st green ratty 1 time w/ K-man & I were shooting 1... 2 many frames as it scooted off...into the boulders & thornscrub...& once they hit those impenitrable green thorn tangles...fah-ged-aboudit...
FWIW...you should always be ready to whack a free roaming pitbull...those & puffadders need to be on leashes or in the gunsights....

That was a nice series of photos. Did you get that idea from the corn photo I emailed a couple weeks ago. Hum? Is that you in the photo? I wonder if whoever that was would fall on his butt if that snake tore like a bat out of hell behind itself into the grass.

I've started to take some pics from the vehicle to better capture the rush and thrill of seeing something like that on the road. Once down a dirt road, I stopped as I saw a large mammal rushing toward me from afar way down the road. I had this happen before with bears, so I broke out the binoculars and took a look. It looked to be a large dog, but I sighted a 4 foot corn in the middle of the road about a half mile away or so between me and the mammal charging in my direction. I hit the gas and threw dust and rocks and got there just a second before the mammal to gather the corn. The mammal approaching was a pit bull. It wanted to play but I didn't.
