To get the most beautiful babies it sure doesn't hurt to start with the most attractive parents possible, preferably similar in appearance. The trick is to get babies. Patience is the key. For now I would recommend raising them up nice and slow. I feed mine every 14 days, and they get a month off twice a year. If you female Suri is only four feet at three years old that's fine. They put on size quickly when they get to bunnies. You can see in the pic in the post above how big that female is at about 4 1/2 years old. In the next year she will almost double in girth, but for now she is very lean. They breed at four years old at the earliest, five is better, and six is better yet. I keep the cages clean at all times. Get to know some breeders and start asking questions. If I was to get back into Rainbow boas, I would buy from Jeff Clark, just for the expert assistance I know I would get down the road. The procedures are simple, but implementing them can be difficult, and there are a lot of ways to screw up and endanger the health of the animal. (That's why I don't type out directions here on this forum, but encourage people to call me and discuss it instead.) Hope this helps a little, I would offer up more, but I have an important meeting to get to, so I have to run.
