It seems counterintuitive to do so regarding the pet trade given that the appeal of the hog island boas would have been their unique appearance and light coloring that would have only been diminished with crossing. Was it a misguided attempt to increase the natural population? I’m just curious how this snake became almost synonymous with integration and crossbreeding. | ||
