I suggest making the hinged door on the front, or sliding doors. This makes it easy to get at your dragons and cleaning, without them feeling they are being attacked by something. Dragons instinctively feel anything coming down at them from above is a predator.
You didn't indicate what size the cage will be overall, that is also a very important factor. ALso, it isn't recommened to house males and females together year around. Not only will she be under constant pressure from the male to breed, being the only female in with him but it is also possbile one or the other will over dominate the other and one may suffer for it. Also, it isn't unknown for adult dragons of opposite sex to be overly aggressive to eachother, causing injuries and stress. ----- PHLdyPayne
