I am confused by some of the terminology I sometimes see in the ads. Although I have tried to comprehend the "logic" it is still unclear. It seems to me that different folks just have different words to describe age. Is there a commonplace standard for these terms?

Neonate
Baby
Juvenile
Yearling (I think this one is pretty easy)
Sub-Adult
Adult (I guess mature enough to breed)

Also is there a standard of time to become LTC?

One more.......Proven meaning produced viable offspring or "it bred something"?

Thanks,
Linda
