Ok, here's the real deal.
We've had our two, male, ball pythons for about a year, (Reggie and Sonnie) bought as yearlings. We've really wanted to buy a female, to breed them, but, haven't had the money, or space, for a separate tank.
Today, I was rearranging the house. When I moved their tank, I spilled some of their water onto their padding. As I was taking them out to change their padding, I picked one of them up an their tails were twisted together and it looked like they had poo or gum sticking them together, down there. I didn't yank them apart or anything, but, when I looked at the "poo" it turned out to resemble that it was thier stuff "down there".
So, my question is this.... Are my snakes gay? Or should I use my common sense and relize that Sonnie has been growing a bit faster than Reggie, more because he's a she?
I'd like to think that gayness in animals doesn't exist, but, we've all heard stories or seen a friend's gay dog. Know what I mean?
Please help.
-James
