Posted by: reptileguy2727 at Mon Oct 10 19:45:56 2005 [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by reptileguy2727 ] my 4-5" common snapper is in with a 3" penninsula cooter and a 3" western painted turtle, also in a 40breeder. they are fine together. i keep everyone well fed on pellets only. there are goldfish too but no one can catch them. if they are well fed and have their own hiding areas they may be okay, but even if they were the same size you could have problems, so there is no guarantee either way. try it, see how they interact. if they ignore eachother it will probably be okay. then just keep an eye on them both. just be prepared to seperate if necessary.
