I place it in a plastic cage and use paper towels as the substrate. If I have been handling the new snake I never handle my current collection until I shower and I place my clothes in the wash. After the snake sheds and I have not found a mite and I have seen a healthy bowell movement and see no signs of illness I relax. This usually lasts about a month. I hope this helps. [ Hide Replies ]
