I´m from the Netherlands, so everything (phase) is rare here
2nd of all the weather sucks here for almost any kind of snake. Offcourse also I am more fond of gemmicincta (sulawesi) then melanota as a subspieces.
Most of my animals I feed dead mice. The only will eat this after a period of changing their habits.
Many specimens that don´t want to feed on living mice, will be fed living birds. When they have eaten that, they will often take dead birds after a while (chicks are cheap here). You can let your snakes get used to mice by cutting a bird open and putting a mouse in it. Or defrost your food with hot water (bird and mouse) and then wrap them against eachoter for a minute or so.
Offcourse their are many more ways but this is often the most succesfull one in my collection.
Often lizards don´t work but frogs will do better!
