Hye Jelmer Sorry i spoke too soon. I consulted my friend who's a wholesaler coz he usually sends herps overseas. It seems our Malaysian customs has recently been very strict. Previously, our post service used DHL to courier stuff without any checks whatsoever. However the new system which started this year has shifted courier services back to Malaysian post, and aha customs! My friend recenlty sent a bunch of chondros to europe but they were seized at our airport b4 it even took off. So sorry, i cant courier to u because of our damn customs. The only way is to obtain a export permit legally from our wildlife dept which is itself a time-consuming and heavily corrupted process (have to bribe alot of officials along the way.) Unless it's in bulk it's not worth it.
Like u said, the only way is to have someone come here, take them, hide them in his socks or smtg and fly back to where u are.
But if u do want to visit Malaysia, I'll show u around, some herping spots and u can meet some wholesalers, perhaps even the famous anson wong.
All our sparrows sold in pet shops are WC btw so babies are out of the question. Frogs? i hear they're not very nutritious, not to forget extremely hard to keep.
sorry about lifting ur expectations too much!
