OK well, I'm not looking to get into one of thos arguments where everyone is telling everyone that they are wrong here but I do have some questions...

One the first of this month I got a 6 week old, about 4-5in long w/tail ArgusXflavi cross. Right now he is in a 40g glass tank with a screen top, Yes I know not a very good setup!!! At first he was on a sand/dirt mix cause thats really what an argus should be on. But im not sure what the problem was but he was geting dirt jamed in the front of his mouth. So mush dirt that it almost seemed like he could not stick his toung out. I think he was geting it from grabing a cricket and then smashing it into the dirt to try to kill it, anyone else ever seen anything like that? Well I put him in some warm water to soak and the dirt came out of his mouth, and i got rid of the dirt and he is on towels right now. I guess my question about the dirt is.. do you think its just cause hes young? I mean I know argus love to dig and stuff so I dont want to keep him from that for too long. Oh ya and right now i am working on a cage for him that is a little larger ha. It's 5X2X2 with a second level of 5X2X2.. and it even has a 3rd section on the bottom for my boa ha. Its almost done and should be finished around next weekend. If you want to see what the start of it is take a look at the link.. thats just what i got done last sunday its a little more along right now ha.

Alright here is a question im sure has been asked a few time before and sorry for asking again but.. thos of you who have started off with a baby argus or a cross such as mine, how fast should I expect him to grow? And yes I will give him the right condidtions ha... 130 degree basking, water, room, dirt (when its right too ha) food all that stuff... will he grow like a weed in a year? what can i expect in 6 months or a years time?

ANd anything else you think I should know that I might not know about them would be awesome to know too. THanks.
some pictures.
