Hi, I just did a cleaning today and shot my 1:1 thermo gun at the surface of my hottest basking spot from 1' away and got readings between 104-105 degrees at the surface.



Should I lower the light (infrared lamp)? I assume that when she lays under the lamp its hitting her a bit warmer since her back and head would be several inches above the surface. Right now the 250 watt lamp is suspended about 3.5 feet above the surface.
