CORNISH GUARDIAN (Cornwall, UK) 13 October 05 Scary Reptile Reactions

News that an alligator has been spotted in a pond at St Blazey came in the same week that a 3.5-metre snake was found slithering near a school in Essex. But what would children at Cubert do if they saw one of these scary reptiles? Melissa (9): I would scream and run.

Keiran (9): I would call the vets' service or something so they could catch them and fly them back home.

Georgia (8): I would find the nearest adult because they don't worry as much as children.

Rebecca (9): I would ask my mum to call the zoo.

Daniel (6): I would go up to the alligator and stroke him!

Joanne (10): I would probably run inside and get an adult to call someone to do with animals. I don't think adults are braver but they can run faster.
