Turtle, help!!

My bio class has a terrapin that we are taking care of for some MARYLAND University terp program.

My teacher is wondering what type of plants she can put in his 29 gallon auqatic aquarium (he does have a rock and floating peice of bark, but she wants to also give hime some sort of plant that he wont eat, but can hide in
