Because I live in the Midwest where winter dry air is a real problem in a captive environment, I provide humidity boxes year round for my indigos. Its nothing more than a sterilite plastic storage container with a hole cut in the lid and the box filled with several inches of slightly dampened spaghnum moss....the indigos actively seek these boxes out during shed cycles and when females are getting ready to lay their eggs. Humidity levels in these boxes range from 80-90% while the rest of the cage is closer to 55-65%. | ||
