Posted by: LauraV at Thu Oct 20 09:07:37 2005 [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by LauraV ] that is a big boy. I. personally, don't let my males get that big. I prefer my breeders between 4-5.5 feet, tops 6'. My breeder males get one medium rat every 3 weeks, occationally every 2 weeks, but that is not the rule of thumb. That's all they will ever get. They hold their weight well, but don't get huge. My 7-8 foot female only get one large/jumbo rat per week (equals out to two every two weeks). But, again, I don't want her to be 10 feet or more and 60 pounds. If you want them to maintain their current size, I'd cut their rations in half. If you want them to be monster huge, that is a different matter. | ||
