whats more important than the sand being washed is that it is sifted for larger particles. the large particles will get injested and cause impactation....which may kill the animal. sand is great for any lizard older than six months.



although i just switched from using sand to using shelf liner. the only benefit from using the shelf liner is that the dragon can't eat it. Sand is easier to remove the poo and absorbs some of the smell too.
