Hey everyone,

I just wanted to share a few random photos. This is slightly off topic but I wanted to share it with all my boa friends!

I've never been much of a cook because I either never had the time or it was too much trouble or I didn't have the experience so I never tried, etc. etc. Well, when Hurricane Katrina hit we were without power for about 2 1/2 weeks. Everything around was closed including all the stores, fast food places, and other restaurants. We had no choice but to cook (thankfully we had a few generators!).

Let me just say, we have never eaten so well in our entire lives! There was nothing to do all day so I just cooked! I actually started looking forward to it getting closer to dinner time LOL. I guess that's what happens when you don't have the phone ringing, internet stuff to do, emails to reply to, reptiles to clean, etc. Well, Hurricane Katrina helped me find my "inner-chef" and I've been cooking lots of stuff ever since!

Anyways, I made some BBQ Pulled Pork tonight that was absolutely delicious! This was a first time recipe that I tried and it came out fantastic. After 6 hours of dry roasting in the oven, the pork all but fell apart while I was trying to remove it from the pan. I actually joined a cooking forum where I get a ton of recipes and after I finished cooking dinner tonight, I snapped some photos of the finished product before we devoured it to post on the cooking forum. I figured I would share them here too!

I made the BBQ Pulled Pork with a sauce called Pig Picking Sauce (very vinegary) on the side. We had some Curly Fries, Sauteed Cinnamon Apples, and Sweet Dinner Rolls to go along with the pork! MMMMmmmm! Boy am I STUFFED!

I was also browsing through some photos and came across an old picture of me that was taken about two or three months ago. I had a pretty bad sock tan from all the tennis I was playing at the time!

And just so this thread isn't ENTIRELY off topic, here are some photos of a couple of pairings we've done so far this coming season. The first photo is of our Male Motley with our female Staub Hypo that produced the Hypo Jungles last season. We've already witnessed copulation between these two. The second photo is of our Sharp Albino Het. Anery with a big normal female. She's in shed so hopefully they'll get to it once she sheds out!

Thanks for looking!
Celia

p.s. I would be happy to share the recipe for the Pulled Pork with anyone interested!
