A number of people have said that if a Uro is not using their hide that something is stressing them. As long as the hides are in a variety of places temperature wise (which they looked to be), and they are safe places, as opposed to facing major thoroughfares of your home, I would say he is just getting used to the place. Archie used to sleep in the open quite often, I think he was just too lazy to wake up and go to his hide, lol. Mosca on teh other hand NEVER sleeps outside his hides. If all els is good, I would chalk it up to getting used to the place, and his personality.

Congrats on the new family member! I cannot wait to see pictures.
