Offering a uro water its not necessary with all species except u. benti. U. benti is the only uro that will readily drink water when offered. The only time i ever saw one of mine drink was right after she laid eggs. We offer some romaine every now and then to add water content in their diets. Thats all its good for.

we only soak when one of our uros are sheading, and use a hairdryer on the tail. We dont let the water stand in the sink (leave the drain open, (the water tends to cool off rather quickly)and splash our uros. Have seen some post saying "our little guy gets great exercise when we soak him, he tries to run up the sink. More than likely this is causing a great deal of stress on the little guy (since he my think hes gonna drown). The only time any of ours have done that is when we put water in the sink. The other way the is still and allow us to splash them.
