Posted by: Jeff Schofield at Mon Oct 24 23:04:45 2005 [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by Jeff Schofield ] Simple math and genetics would lead us to believe that if the Lavender Albino/Extreme gene occured first in the HYPO line, that there would be a 3rd,as yet unidentified and unnamed,phenotype--the EXTREME HYPO.(By the way,this is why I never thought EXTREME a suitable name as it implies judgement). Technically,I think that the likely scenario is that there are 1)HYPOS,2)Lavender Albinos/Extremes and 3)UNNAMED DOUBLE MORPH. Its only through test breedings(like the HYBINO)that will seperate these lines...and they will likely never be truely "pure"with recessive genes most likely present. | ||
