Some of mine get moody or depressed when moved around or they don't get "normal" attention. My benti and macfads love interaction while my ocellatas seem to exist to watch me at work.
Then again, there are the ones that have been depressed with a set of cagemates only to become vibrant and active when moved to a different group or isolated. My vet has stressed that these are VERY much creatures of habit and you can almost set your watch to them. Change little things and it throws off their program... losing their main point of interaction is a huge alteration to a daily routine.

They also seem to get less active/eat less when they're starting to shed, which a number of mine (including a young macfad and ocellata) are doing right now.

Then there's the case of the macho hardwickii I had... he was moody/depressed/almost a runt in his original surroundings. After a relocation and new cagemates he became active, alert, and grew like a weed (but still small)... and then started picking on the bigger lizards. Banished to isolation after a few different combinations of species and gender, he's been moody again. He just got a new home today and Vonnie can tell you all about that
