So Sad, that some are imported that way. From what I got from your post it sounded as if your uro was in grave condition for quite some time (before YOU recieved him)

Whenever they are severely ILL you should always get them to a Vet as soon as possible. But sounds as if he probably was too far gone, so dehyrated if eyes were sunken.

Such a shame, very sorry you had to go through this as well as your little buddy (who had to suffer) I'm sure he is all healed NOW, and in good hands!

If you are interested in being a uromastyx parent you should buy a captive bred from a qualified and reputable dealer, someone you can trust to give you a healthy animal next time.
