I don't have any reason to believe that "they all can be tamed". Each species seemd to have tendencies and individuals are indeed individuals when it comes to disposition.
Most of my Uros couldn't really be considered calm. I'd say they're always alert and some tend to flee more than others. From that list, I've had hardwickii become more tolerant over the course of a year (still not wonderful). I could only consider some of my ornates and macfads as "calm". My male ocellated is tolerant but doesn't even like to be pointed at through the glass while most of the geyri and some macfads will flee on sight.
