Also, I think you're right about adding the CA (or any new) blood into the weaker colombians morphs. I used to not really be into that, but after reading a bunch of these posts, I realized that all the boas out there are potentially mutts anyway.
The words "hybrid vigor" come to mind...
Really, we're not breeding them to reintroduce into the wild, we really just want healthier, prettier animals with better temperaments, right?
