Hey good deal! Glad to hear from someone who has used them. I'd thought if a horse can drink out of it then a turtle could live in it but if they're rusty in spots it would worry me.
Did you ever have a rust problem? How well did these things hold up for you?
If they aren't rusty then I'd think your turtles would have a lot of room to swim & that would be nice for them.
