Spiddy -
There are at least a few forum members that are working with this subspecies that I know of. I have a trio, Fabian has a pair (his male is possibly the best looking Meru I have ever seen in captivity), and another forum member has a trio. I have only been working with mine for a few months, and I haven't had any breeding success to date, although I think one of my females may be gravid. So unfortunately I can't offer any Meru specific neonate advice. They have proven very difficult to breed in captivity, as the females are either not receptive to males, or clutches of slugs are produced. Have you had any success with rearing other live-bearers?
If you are successful in rearing and raising the babies, please let me know, as I would be very interested in adding some CB blood to my group - and I would be very interested in bloodline trades down the road.
