Baby Diamondback terrapin with soft shell

Hi,

I've had a baby northern diamond back terrapin for coupla months now. It seems like his shell isn't growing as fast as his body. He eats like a pig and keeps getting fatter but his shell isn't as hard as I'd expected (soft in the plastron center, flimsy around edges). I've given him UVB bulb during the week plus direct sunlight on the weekends. His diet consist mostly of Reptomin. How can I change this condition? All his other tankmates (sliders and maps) have grown quite well with similar setups and their shells are hard.

I want to put calcium into his food but at the same time I don't want to keep feeding him too much because he's seriously about to explode.
